Imaging Engineering, LLC is a Florida registered LLC with four members. We currently hold three 510(k) clearances and market our products throughout the U.S. via a dealer network. We have access to refurbishment facilities, a large supply of imaging components and development resources which has enabled us, as a small company, to accomplish what other large companies have not accomplished.
There are only a few companies worldwide which produce fluoroscopic imaging software and we are one of two which are independent. Our direct competitors, Infimed and CMT were both purchased by Varex and Thales respectively and now only provide solution focused on promoting their parent companies products.
The fluoroscopic imaging market is undergoing a dual change. The reimbursements have decreased, the number of exams have decreased, and more and more X-Ray detector manufactures have detectors which they want to utilize in the fluoroscopic market. It is our objective to create a family or ecosystem of medical imaging products to cover from acquisition to storage. Currently, all fluoroscopy system are large and very high powered, 80kW and require a lot of service. The mobile fluoroscopy market is comprised of surgical C-Arms which are expensive. The dominate surgical C-Arm in the US still boots into MS-Dos and uses 3.5″ floppy.
The opportunity is to develop economical fluoroscopic modalities which fill niche markets. Our GE Upgrades help hospitals update their imaging systems at an economical price. Our Insight Agile targets this new market and in particular the MBS and Neonatal markets. This family of products will grow with other imaging products currently under development to include cloud based storage and review designed specifically for speech pathology MBS exams.
